Interesting anomaly in GMAPS

I’m curious if you all have had a similar issue.

My client has a well a established business and ranks well organically for many terms. They are a big firm in the injury arena.

One of the major terms are related to truck accidents with the lawyer and attorney terms.


Over the last couple of years google only shows 4-6 local firms in Google maps for the lawyer term. When you look for car accident law firms you find pages and pages of results.

Now if you switch this keyword to attorney many more show up.

I checked other large cities in the state and the same thing is happening there.

Regardless of quality or content (very high), links , speed, and everything else a legit SEO would do to raise rankings, they never show...

Any suggestions or tactics to show up for a keyword in Google maps if everything else has been completed ?

This niche is over rich in competition, big or even BIGGER ...

Moving into the "pay to play" category for mapping and ordinary serps.

I think, however, if you keep hitting "refresh" the found entries will cycle a bit, revealing more of the "found" ... but what user will do that?
