Hi, everyone

I SEMRushed my website, and as a new website (2 months), the website has 110k backlinks, and most of them from a video website that they sponsored (in a banner) us for free

my question is that is it ok a new website has so high number of backlinks? and will Google regard it as spam? and will Google punish the website?

If so, how should I tell Google it is an advertisement and remove these links?

Thanks in advance

It has been years since I have used paid advertising (mainly Adsense) to any huge degree but I did notice this issue as well with links from ads getting counted as backlinks by Google. (not nearly as high from any one site though as you have found)

I am not sure if you have anything to worry about as Google will most likely just ignore those backlinks but you could use the Google Disavow tool. It is a tool that allows you to add domains and URLs to a list that Google is suppose to ignore any backlinks on.

Hi Zita and Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

It might help to create an ads.txt file to upload so that the links have proper attribution. Especially if you hope to add AdSense to your new site at some point. You would need to do that anyway in that case.
