Main kw loses almost all impressions after 17/5

I really can't understand why this specific kw from an internal page (it's not the homepage) has gradually changed from getting around 350 impressions/day for a specific country to around 8 per day...

What I know for a fact is:
- The domain got hit from the May update on the 5th of May but then it recovered for a few days. then from 17/5 is started slowly losing rankings.
- No important backlinks were lost during that period.
- No content changes since April 2020
-The ranking of the page hasn't changed. From the 17th of May it's always at positions 12-14. So since the ranking remains stable, why the impressions continue to fall and from around 100 impressions/day during June, they go down to 40-20 per day during July and eventually they go under 10 during August.
- The page is index and all enhancements are fine (schema, mobile usability etc)
- No penalty for the website, other kws are not so badly affected

i've had precisely the same happen to myself over the years with absolutely nothing wrong with the page whatsoever even though it had ranked #1 for years, for some algo update reason G started preferring pages that had copoed mine yet presented it differently.

No matter what I did ir never recovered, we're talking going from #1 to #100+ to oblivion.

Eventually I deleted it and moved it to another site where it does fine.

Once the algo takes a dislike to something it can be completely pointless.

@Redbar what you describe is a totally different situation.
It's not like the kw got from page 1 to page 10 in 2 days.
It just moved from position 7 to position 13. And of course it's a big difference not to be at the 1st page anymore, but the way it happened is strange for me. For the first weeks the reduction of the impressions was a bit more logical and then suddenly it went down to almost nothing, while keeping the same ranking! The kw is still ranking at the same position (13-14).

And in my case, this page gets most of the traffic after the Homepage, as it was ranking for many other important kws, which were also affected. I can't just delete/ignore the issue and go on. And for sure the May update has a big role to play, but it's different to lose a part of your impressions and different to lose almost all of them!
