I've already got sick with Google My Business. It always requires verification by postcad and dont show other methods. Anybody here could help me? How to get verification just by phone or email?
Thanks you guys a lot.

If you check Google My Business website well, you will see you can verify your business through a Video Call. But the truth is that it's harder to get verified via the Video call option. I will advice you use the post card option.

Sometimes, it helps changing the address to a more Urban place where you also have access to.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld Chrisle

Do you have a problem with receiving a postcard?

Do you not have a permanent physical location?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld.

I have found that the opportunity to verify by phone is rarer these days. Other factors are if it's a residential address (nothing wrong with this BTW, a lot of self-employed are 'based' at home) or if it's a business centre / park address rather than separate premises. If you're worried about privacy you can set the address to private and this does not stop your listing from getting exposure in Google search. I manage a number of addresses for a franchise in a reasonably competitive niche at local level and one of them is set to private. It does better than some of the other addresses set to public.

@FranticFish

How can a GMB with a private address to perform better in local searches, in comparison to a GMB with a public address, which could also be found in local directories etc and therefore give more signals to Google as a legit business?
There must be something wrong then with the second business.

@ jediviper

I agree that a public address can pick up other signals that a private one cannot. However, in the example I gave, a fair few of the addresses have no mention elsewhere on the web. There are a lot of franchisees, and turnover is fast, so I actively try to avoid too many addresses being picked up by data providers (at least, too soon) because it just means more loose ends to tie up down the line.

The key point I was trying to make was that, in and of itself, all other things being equal, lack of a physical address does not mean you cannot get traffic from Google maps. Address is a signal, and it may well be the best one, but it's not the only one.

That said, I wouldn't recommend it. Public address is best I agree, use all tools at your disposal if at all possible.
