Mobile deep linking - indexing mobile version of the page

Hello,

I have a question regarding mobile deep linking.

I see e-commerce stores that practice mobile deep linking. If you have their app installed on your device, and do a search on google on mobile in which their website is shown, and click on a link, it will open the page on the app. I learned that this is called mobile deep linking.

My question is, does Google still index the mobile version of the page (and not the app version)?

Do I need to have all the elements found on the mobile version of the page on the app version of the page as well (I am talking about non-essential elements, such as a category description that might help for indexing and SEO, but has little value to the user)?

What are the best practices for SEO when it comes to mobile deep linking?

Thanks
