Will pandemic delay next major Google update?

Just curious, has anyone heard any news on a possible delay for the next major update? I got used to having them every 3 months or so.

Interesting point. Google announced that some of their services like GMB have reduced functionality and support [support.google.com] but I haven't seen an announcement about reduced operations in their search department.

No idea, but it seems as if the SERPs are pretty volatile right now. At least that's what I'm observing for my sites.

I'm seeing very positive movements for site improvements made 4-5 months ago with cache dates in the last 7 days, how much one would call this an "update" is open for interpretation:-)
