Weird 50% traffic drop after server migration

Here is something very weird.

We moved to a new server the day before yesterday (completely new architecture, higher php-version, etc).

Everything seemed fine until I deactivated the WP plugin WP-Rocket (with a CDN enabled), AND activated "Autoptimze" and "WP-Optimize".

After that, I noticed this:

- immediately a 50% traffic loss in "Clicky" analytics
- NO traffic drop in GA
- NO drop in rankings
- in GSC I see today: a huge drop in "Total impressions" and "Total Clicks". NO drop in "Average CTR" and "Average Position"

My questions are:

How can Clicky suddenly show a huge drop and GA not?
Was there even a traffic drop (optins seem normal)?
How can it be that impressions and clicks in GSC drop but not the rankings?

I've re-activated WP-Rocket (with a CDN enabled) and deactivated "Autoptimze" and "WP-Optimize". Let's see if that makes a difference...

Thank you for your thoughts,
Eddie

It sounds like a recording problem rather than a traffic one. You should check the console for javascript errors when you enable the optimisation plugins (they attempt to minify and/or combine javascript which can easily break things).

Obviously, Search Console should not be affected by this - are you sure the dates match (as SC data is delayed)?

It is not a traffic fall. It is a javascript minification problem in Autoptimize. Keep only Wp-rocket.

Yes, you were right, thank you both.

I've re-enabled "WP-Rocket" and the reporting in Clicky is correct again. I've also forgotten that the Search Console data is delayed, so I've misinterpreted that.

This gave me a heart-attack nearly...
