Does a sort of content-scraping inflict ranking of original page?

We have stumbled upon a small problem with duplicate content. We have been re-writing our content on all pages to improve it and to better fit the needs of our users. After a while we realized that some domain from Holland have stolen just part of our content. From x amount of pages they are building new pages which rank in search engines. When you click on that page from SE, you are being redirected at once to some FAQ pages.

The question is if such pages works against our own page and if Google takes that into consideration. I would say yes & yes. If they wouldn't they would not rank them in the first place.

What you guys thinks about that?

P.S. If admins would allow we could show the images or links of such pages.

Id like to think that Google will see your improving your pages and likewise, it would see some doorway / sneaky redirect site using your content. So the other site should eventually get spotted by Google, although there is no time scale on that happening. All you can do is keep an eye on your own rankings and if they start to slip then take action. I think Google is smart enough to spot whats going on so you should be ok.

Wishful thinking ... that g "cares" ... but the actions suggested are correct:

You have to be better all the time ... AND AT THE SAME TIME willing to file DMCA (or similar in different countries) to make the offending site cease and desist. You have to PROACTIVELY protect your content!

Fail that and you never have a chance.

I have done some of investigation for that domains, sadly they are created on fly, with free domains like: .tk, .ml, .ga. etc. so it's like Don Quixote fighting Windmills.

I don't think G cares, otherwise would already react and cut off such redirect system.
