I used to believe that and used to buy that one however with the current state of my widget sector especially in the UK SERPs as I see them, that is with a totally clean, empty cached browser and not logged-in ... maybe that's why I'm seeing such crazy-a$$ed results from Google?
A couple of nights ago I did a keyword1/2/3 search and Google suggested to append "near me" ... Ahem, G obviously hadn't a clue where I was since the nearest to me was 60 miles away and some were 150-200 miles distance ... In the UK that's ridiculous plus I already knew of 6 suppliers within 15 miles of me.
So, right now as I am typing this, I just did a test search using "keyword1/2/3 my county" and G was spot on ... and several more searches simply adding "my county" and G was pretty accurate however removing "my county" and the results returned many US sites, something is very clearly amiss with G.
