I noticed the following last night. I've tried it using Firefox, Chrome and Opera GX (all desktop) and the results were the same, so not an issue my end.

I've also tried it using Google.com as well as Google.co.uk - no difference.

Without quotation marks, Google the following and look at the names underneath.
"star trek tng family cast"

I've no idea what's caused it.

Well, you could View Source and trawl through the JS to see what is going on, but it looks to me like either one or more functions address incorrect data sets or fields, or there has been some kind of data corruption at source. Certainly Jameson Ivor Frakes looks better than I remember.

It will probably go back to normal when somebody at Google notices, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

I see that the error is still happening when I just searched using the above text but haven't notice anything similar in my niche.

I've tried a couple of different film titles, and it seems peculiar to Star Trek TNG. Did they let AI loose on updating the database with Star Trek TNG entries?

Thanks for looking and confirming it wasn't a problem my end. It's not my niche either. I only googled it because I was watching that episode, and there was a kid in there that sounded familiar. I was sure he had been in another episode. It turned out I was correct, the kid later played a very young Picard.

It's the first time I've seen the carousel messed up like this.

Chit happens. Can't tell you how many times I made a small change to a site which should have been nothing and borked something else unexpectedly! (And also did not immediately notice it!)
