Google has said it's rolling out a redesigned Google News search for desktop giving greater prominence to publisher names.

Looking at the before and after, in the GIF file, to me it's looking more like a newspaper and less like a search facility.

Sounds like a similar move than for the Image search. Google knows it navigates on the border line...

Looks like an improvement to me. Why shouldn't users be able to see, quickly and easily, who published the stories that are being listed?

Thanks for the memo ... I don't g, so make me look!

Not quite enough to change my current habits ... but g might want to be careful where they go ... Section 230 looms and Congress it paying attention these days.
