Hi,

First of all, I do not believe in SEO "experts", to me it's a scam business. But, I accept the idea I might be wrong.

However, I am curious. With all the fluctuations with the Google's SERP, I guess that among all the sites/businesses which hired SEO "experts" (employees dedicated to SEO, or hiring an external SEO company), lot are seeing their traffic decreasing or worse collapsing at each Google's core updates. So I wonder how these SEO guys are dealing with deceptive results and explaining this to their clients.

1st - Don't assume a lot of people are seeing their traffic decrease. Some lose & some gain. There is still plenty of SEO traffic to be gained if a person knows how to smartly apply the right SEO strategy & tactics for their own unique situation.

2nd - SERPs for years & years have been in flux & personalized. To gain a better overview a SEO person could look at traffic levels by the urls & subfolder levels. Focus less on rankings which can be personalized and slightly shifting and more on traffic. Smarter clients know that a #1 ranking is not very valuable if it doesn't send profitable traffic that converts.

Positions come in waves.
I haven't had to deal with traffic loss, only with growth. That's why I'm an expert.

Oh, I need to take note of it :)

More serious, I also didn't yet face loss of traffic from Google, and a constant increase, and this month 's update was huge with 22-23% increase of "human" visitors. But I would never call myself an expert of anything. I just try to do things as I think they should be done, using common sense, ... but I know that anytime I can be hit for any kind of reasons, so I just enjoy the present time :)
