Hello,

Few set of my sites got hit because of Google Panda update. I fixed those issues by changing the contents completely before 5 months. I didn't see any improvements in ranking even after 5+ months.

I can see that the rankings are not coming to top (even though many are in Page #1) because of Sites/pages got demoted.

I need your help to know, clarify few of my queries..

>> When Google did last ~ Data refresh ~ ?
>> How many times a year they are doing it now in 2019?

Looking forward for your reply.

Thanks

If you are referring to the Google index it's almost fluid. The index is changing and updating all the time. There are more noticeable updates that do happen from time to time but there are more along the lines of algo changes. Still being on page one doesn't really sound like a penalty as such. I suggest looking at the pages that are ranking above you and looking for clues as to why they are outranking you.

Mack.

@plsavail ... Welcome to Webmasterworld!

If you actually have entries showing on page one you have "recovered". ALL websites across the board (mine included) have had odd rankings since Panda and the Panda update ... g has changed things behind the scenes we are are still trying to figure out what they have done. Big brands are not so affected.

@bonsbracked ....

If churn and burn domain names is the business plan, then that might work, but for most it is about building a domain into a brand, so quick change stuff (which g notices and keeps track of) is not an option.
