Does anyone have an idea why I would find so many "crawl anomaly" in my Google Search Console for the following paths:

/new-images/?DA
/images5/?SA
/images5/?ND
/images/?SA
/images5/?MA

This is just a few examples, there are many more, 76 to be exact and many to do with image files.

Thanks in advance for any help/advice.

Google is giving all of us peculiar information. There are several threads here regarding the various problems that seem to be related to their data outage late last month. Problems with GSC data in particular I would view as low importance unless your logs verify some real anomaly(s).

The kiddies are testing out variations (either by brain power for AI tweaked by their brain power). I don't worry about anything that does not return a 200 code.

Life is too short for these kind of fishing expeditions.

YMMV

Aside: If my actual URLS show up I don't care what kind of speculation link uglies g (or bing) send my way. They ain't there. :)

lol, thanks for your comment tangor.

I'm a natural worry-wart. My sales dropped off suddenly since 4/19 (traffic is the same - actually up some) and I was searching for answers when I found the GSC "anomaly".
