I was recently reading an article from JournalDuNet (FR) stating how tweets might impact on SEO. The article (4 years old) mentioned that about 50 tweets containing the same URL had a positive result. Do you think that there is any truth in it?

Around 2011/2012 I was involved in a project involving Twitter for SEO. But, I don't recall anything coming from it. Whether positive or negative.

I doubt it's true these days. Twitter uses nofollow redirects so that would limit any direct SEO effect from links in tweets.
There might be indirect SEO benefits if the tweets are effective at driving traffic to your site, and your visitors start to mention your site in the course of their own online activities.
To have any hope of that happening your site needs to be good and your traffic must be well targeted.

Yes, specialism, niche, or highly focussed.

Thanks, my site for the geographical target ted area comes in first page usually just after the advertised sites. I'll give it a try and will report after 50 tweets.
