Hi,
So we are coming up with a portal where some articles will be mapped to more than 3 categories, we are wanted to generate sitemap for each category. When we create in X category and mapped A,B,C,D,E & F, do we have to show article url with X in mapped category sitemaps? or can we show respective category url in respective sitemaps? for all other mapped category articles X category article will be canonical.
Please help us whether we can have multiple urls for the same article in sitemaps or we can have only canonical URL?
ex:
original category: www.xyz.com/sports/cricket/virat-anushka-visit-rahul-gandhi-along-with-amitab
Mapped categories:
www.xyz.com/entertainment/bollywood/virat-anushka-visit-rahul-gandhi-along-with-amitab
www.xyz.com/news/mumbai/virat-anushka-visit-rahul-gandhi-along-with-amitab
www.xyz.com/news/congress/virat-anushka-visit-rahul-gandhi-along-with-amitab
www.xyz.com/maharashtra/mumbai/virat-anushka-visit-rahul-gandhi-along-with-amitab
for all the mapped categories www.xyz.com/sports/cricket/virat-anushka-visit-rahul-gandhi-along-with-amitab is the canonical URL
