Hi,
I have two websites with different domains. one is .com site and another one is .asia site. .asia site is for targeting India and UAE but with same url ( eg: domain.asia ). So can I use hreflang for my .asia site. If so, how can I implement it?
Or only can use for sub domains like us, uk, fr, etc...?

Kindly guide me. Thanks...

Last I checked, UAE and India were different countries speaking different languages, in different timezones, using different currencies. What information did you envision putting in the hreflang tag?

Hreflang tells Google which language you are using on a specific page, so the search engine can serve that result to users searching in that language. I have a .asia site(https://domain.asia), which serves two languages i.e., English & Arabic. So, what my question is, can I use hreflang tag to my site or this tag should be used only for country-specific sites like .fr, .uk, .in,etc...?

Hello daks and welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

The hreflang is a page level tag. Make sure you also identify the cooresponding browser charset at the page level as well, since your specifuc language delegation is a subdomain.

For SEO there *may* be an advanrage to using country-specific domains, but not necessary.

hreflang may be used to target languages on regional tlds as well as generic tlds.
