Ill post a fresh article and to check if its indexed in google search I will either copy and past the title in search and search the exact title or ill copy and paste the link in search and the article should appear, but what I noticed is it says 7 hours ago or 20 hours ago when I posted it

yet when I check google news it says posted 1 minute ago. Its been like this for a while, Google news posts the exact timestamp when I post but in regular search my articles always say 7 hours ago or 20 hours ago even though I post them a minute or so ago.

This is the only thing I could find only about it

Different time zones?
But wouldn't that be equivalent to those idiotic articles that say things like
“The temperature climbed 10°C (50°F) in less than an hour”
? A minute ago is a minute ago, no matter what your time zone.

I always suspected that Google's SERP time lies deliberately nowadays..so as to prevent webmasters uploading "variants" of the same page an hour apart ( or whatever time apart ) and seeing which one ranks best..

Once upon a time..back in the days of Google dances ( when some of here had been webmasters since long before Google ) ..it was very easy to see ..now with "personalised SERPs"..they no longer need to do this..but when one is used to smoke and mirrors / bait and switch, and mystery, as a way to keep people in line..

Data centers are located in many different time zones ... yet all reflect the same "24 hour" day, just in different time zones. If the time stamp is valid for your intended audience, move along to something else which needs attention as this is pretty much a non-starter for time and energy expense.
