Not sure if you've seen this, however, rolling out in the next ferw months is the new image referrer url https://images.google.com
If you use Google Analytics to track site data, the new referral URL will be automatically ingested and traffic will be attributed to Google Images appropriately.
Country-specific queries will, of course, use the local country TLD.
