I have just gone into GSC to check crawl errors as I usually have some each day in the afternoon and i see the message "URL Errors
We currently do not detect URL-specific errors." and the graph has gone.

Ive never seen this - is this a glitch with GSC or does it actually mean that it didnt find any errors on the last crawl it performed?

I see that most of the time. I have very few reported crawl errors. One or two a month.

I learned a long time ago to never remove documents from access. Many times I have reused file names & locations to avoid 404s.

Sometimes GSC will report a 3rd party typo or backlink code mistake as a crawl error. Not much we can do about that.

What irritates me though, is the report stopped supplying the referring page where the error was found. Now the report will usually just give the same bogus file as both the location of the error and the referring page. How stupid is that!

so it does mean that I have no errors? that is very surprising if so as I am in the process of a recovery from a mis config issue so usually have about 40 or old indexed urls 404s per day.
What I find strange also is that the graphs disappear completely also - doesnt make sense that just because on one day you dont have any errors that all your historical graph data isnt displayed.

I also see:
0 Not found
...for the Crawl Error report w/ no graph.

Sometimes, this is a good place to check. They're not reporting anything current, though, at least not yet...

If you search Google for the GSC message in quotes, you can find several references in the product forums over the past few years to a glitch in the reporting feature for a couple of days and then the graph reappears.

it is actually reporting them again after 2 days of that message. Must have been a glitch because it came back with quite a few
