Back in January Google said it was rolling out 16-months of data in the Search Console. At last, google has now said it's now available.

It really drives the point home how disastrous the past 16 months have been for my sites.

mara89 - the announcement pertains to the *new* GSC and it will need to populate.

The new Google Search Console had more data when it first rolled out to everyone. What happened this week in the Search Analytics API now can give you 16-months of data as well.

Still switching back and forth between the old and the new GSC. There's still several reports that haven't appeared in the new version yet.

Which is why it is still a beta.

No longer beta. It's live and the "beta" language has been removed.

I noticed this happens per account. Not everyone sees the same thing at the same time.

There is still a big link that says "coming soon" that goes to [support.google.com...]

And the beta label is still on the top left when you are in the new Search Console., I see it.

Is g's x months of data better than your raw logs? Inquiring minds want to know.

Google's data tells you what keywords brought you the most traffic and if your positions in the results have gone up or down. Although sometimes your position hasn't changed but clicks decreased because Google keep adding stuff to results page (ads, images, videos, carousels, etc) that sites result barely get seen anymore.

Again, not for everyone.

@koan - that's really not what we're discussing in this thread. Yes, that's what the report does, bur we're talking about the *new* report and how much data has propagated for users.

Instead of 16 months' worth, how about 3 months of 100% k/w data? On some sites the 'not set' (now renamed 'other') bundle is 85% of queries.
GSC I note no longer tells you how much you're not seeing. Wonder how long it'll be until Analytics follows suit.

Sorry, kiddies. This new improvement is more obfuscation than data. You really don't believe g will ever give real time info, do you? That would break the black box and that's not about to happen.

HOWEVER, anything is better than nothing, so off to the races to see how much of this is useful information!

keyplyr, please expand it full screen and you will see the "beta" label. :) But I am sure you know that already. [s3.amazonaws.com...]

Here's a different screenshot, full screen... no "beta"

[i.imgur.com...]

I believe that you see "beta." I don't, but I think it said beta a few weeks ago, then it didn't. Don't know if anything else changed at that time. Seems like the new GSC is evolving little by little.

keyplyr, really, that is not full enough. Can you expand your screen larger please. It is 100% still beta.

You keep trying to get me to see what you're seeing. Not everyone does. Have a nice day.

The Beta only shows when the "Google Search Console" header is showing. Both your views show it collapsed. Like this [imgur.com...]

Notice that the "beta" is not shown when collapsed.

It's default. Same view on a tablet. There is no screen view where the term "beta" appears. And there is nothing to uncollapse. Different devices may display differently.

I'm not debating that others see "beta" and I have no mystery to solve. I actually don't really care. Just was trying to be helpful above.

If everyone is seeing "beta" then the new GSC is likely still in beta, I get it. I'll take it on faith :)

Maybe the "Google Search Console" header text is only there in the beta version?

For all my devices (Chromebook, Windows 10 and Android) I see "Search Console" in read letters in the upper-left of the old GSC, then underneath that is "Try the new search console" linked in blue letters.

But when I click through to the new GSC there is no header at all (as my screenshots show.)

None of these are desktop however. I still have a desktop at my office, just don't use it much any longer.

So it appears that all the responsive views leave off the header labelling (for me anyway.)

LOL - you just need a really wide screen to see it. It is not a big deal either way. Google has said time and time again, it is a beta release and they are continuing to migrate features from the old to the new over time.
