We all know that Google News got a makeover a while back. I've been frustrated with the new UI for one main reason: The "More Headlines" appears at the top the section, and not at the bottom, where it used to be. Now, i scroll down to read the section's news, then have to scroll back up to select the "More Headlines"

I thought i'd stick with it for a while to see if it grew on me, but, no. Sorry Google, the UI for Google News is not as good, imho.

Logically a "More Headlines" link should be below the main headlines section. Because if you read downward from the top, then when you're finished with the main section you're ready for "more". So that's the logical place to put the link. Putting it at the top of the page is illogical.

engine - it works differently than when it was at the bottom and clicking the link "more news" just added more so you could keep reading.

Now that the "more__" is at the top of each news topic. Just click it *before* you start reading. Then you get all of them. The "view more" to the right of each headline will then extend more content for that specific story.

Kinda looks like a "request by the user" to pre-load more ads. YMMV

Otherwise, it's as goofy as [webmasterworld.com...]

Not the way I consume the news.
Each section of news has this at the top, and i really don't want to expand all the topics.
If the top stories are in the panel, showing, for example, five different topics. I scroll down to find the last story. I then have to scroll back up to get more, and then scan over the five news topics again before getting to the more.
It just seems odd to not have the link to "more" at the bottom.
