Google Mobile Search Bug w/ "More Results"?

Is it just me or is anyone else seeing a Google Mobile Search Bug, where the Results 11-20 are omitted?

When I search on google mobile (on ios), I get the "More Results" button while paginated search is gone.

(see e.g. here: [seroundtable.com...] )

But: I get 10 results and ads and the "More Results" button but while clicking this only 3 more ads load (and the button again), no organic results. Clicking the loaded button brings more results, but those are those on position 21-30.

So Google is omitting the results on position 11 to 20. Looks like a real bug to me.

Anyone else seeing this?

@RustyBrick can you confirm this?

10 results are default.

@Spiekerooger I cannot replicate that. When I click more results, I get more organic results first and then at the bottom of those organic results, I get ads (sometimes).

Clicking the loaded button brings more results, but those are those on position 21-30.
Where are you identifying that these "More Results" are from "position 21-30"? Do you mean these results are from position 21-30 on desktop but are being used as position 11-20 on mobile?

I think they had a problem at weekend with the button, it did not always load the results, you could hit the button but nothing happen, after like 3rd try he load the results. Sadly the button "saved" my 3 clicks so it load the results from the page 4th. At the end for me, it was not able to work with search on mobile over weekend because of that bug.

That sounds like a logical explanation. Seems to work as designed now.

@WebEnthusiast: could be.

I tried it serveral times:

I started a search and got either:

10 Results with only one ad on top, the load more results button got me ten more results and no ads.

or

10 results with up to four ads on top and three ads below and the load more results button got me three more ads but no more organic results, just the more results button below the new ads. Clicking this then I got the organic results 21-30.

@keplyr: I did this with searches where I'm quite familiar with the results and yes, checked desktop as well as external tools regarding the omitted results 11-20.

Just tried it again:

Started a search, got 4 ads, 10 organics, 3 ads and the load more results button. Clicking it I get three more ads and the button, so now I have 4 ads on top, 10 organics and 6 ads below overall and the button after first click. But not more organics results. Clicking the more results again I get those organic results from pos. 21-30 (and sometimes more ads as well).

It's a bug. Still there on monday. Google mobile Germany on iOS.

Can you share a query or two that triggered this or is that not allowed?

I'm still trying to get one with a screencast. Stay tuned.
So far it surfaced only once today (several times yesterday). Same query now is doing what it should or bringing up the following (also never seen before):

Seeing a new test with ads on mobile, where you get 8 ads listed just by the domain name grouped in one ad block below organic (plus four normal mobile ads on top).

Over the years, there have been endless reports of Google testing different layouts or presentations, often to just specific geo regions.

True, I have the feeling my ip got included in several tests over the last few days. And probably one of those tests had a bug as well.

So far I was not able to replicate the bug after 1200 gmt today. @WebEnthuasist: can you reproduce your bug?

Now it loads the results correctly, so the bug was repaired.

Whew! I'm glad that's over.
