would i lose indexation and ranking if i changed search console property ?

since i don't have access to the old search console property, should i just remove the code and add a new one?

Are you asking about the Google Verification code that is added to the index page of a domain? If you recently acquired the domain and have not added it to your GSC account, then yes you should remove the old verification code and add your own so you can add the domain to your own account. The code itself just verifies that 'account X' controls 'domain X' so it should have no effect on indexing.
