Is anybody else finding the new index coverage emails from Google WMT a bit frustrating? For us as an agency with lots of properties connected we are getting tons of emails alerting us about mostly non-issues that would have been dealt with in due course and worse putting clients who have access to Search Console into a blind panic when they get an email proclaiming "Index coverage may be negatively affected in Google Search results" after somebody random on the internet has mistyped a UTM link trying to manipulate referral reporting in GA (true story) or similar non events.

If they are going to continue sending these email which on the face of the things would be useful for really important stuff (e.g. noindex or robots blocked page listed in sitemap) they need to grade the severity of the issues and only alert on those that will severly hamper the performace of a page.

What do others think? Or am I alone in feeling I am being spammed here!

G is acting like any good attorney on discovery motions, bury them in paper to hide things. :)

(Well, it COULD be that!)

I'm getting daily mails. Unfortunately, you can't see if there are serious problems or not just from the mail (Some fixes failed for Indexabdeckung issues on site). I always click on the link and try to find out if it's a serious problem. It took time just for sseing that absolutely nothing important going on.
