Hi so most of my site is news articles and photo albums of image files.

It seems from my limited knowledge for the articles metatag title/description/keywords and h1 is most important.

Also for photo albums of image files, alt, title, and description.

Is there anything wrong with the above or any further SEO settings I should implement for Google search etc? Thanks!

Google mentioned a few years ago that they don't look at metatag keywords anymore.

Without knowing whether the photo albums of image files are folder with images and a directory or pages of images or images shown in a slideshow/plugin, it is hard to say what more you can do for them. Ideally each photo might have a descriptive caption and text that describes the image if each image were on its own page. Getting images indexed doesn't do much for traffic any more as many have learned. What are your goals here?

Whatever TEXT is applied to each image (album) is more likely to have an SEO effect than the image itself. Make sure title, alt and captions are best possible FOR THAT IMAGE.

Which is likely to have more "seo"?:

"blue flower" or "blue flower in vase, oil painting, artist name, date"
