Does lack of schema data affect your SEO?

the last 12 th december google algo serp update have HIT website without schema data. Your website have schema data?

It seems they do have some sort of impact and I have found out a lot of the sites that did get 'hit' including one of my large sites, one of the common things they lacked, Schema Data.

I am implementing schema across all sites as we type. Will monitor, it takes google about a week or 2 to re-adjust fully these days. Maybe even a month.
