I was looking at me google search console report and under the "Links to Your Site" I noticed some weird back links to my site.
I can see back links from legit sites to my plugins folder.
The links comes form their plugins also.
I get this results from several sites with different plugins. the plugins and the sites are legit

Hello LisaX and welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]

That does seem odd. Have you taken a look at these plugins, sourcing the code to see if there is any connection?

However, just for general info, Google does make a lot of mistakes with these reports.

Thank you keyplyr +

I really do not know where to start looking
They are using the same plugins that I use and they send a link to my plugin folder

That's just it, they are probably NOT sending a link through the plugin. Google has likely made an error in reporting.

But as I suggested above... go to these sites, look at their source code to see if they ARE hotlinking to your plugins instead of using their own copies. They might do this to save bandwidth... using yours instead of theirs.

If you find this is occurring, there are steps we can help you with to block them.
