Hey guys.

I’m looking for some help from someone who understands doorway pages better than I do. My website <snip> has a manual action and the reason cited is doorway pages. I have checked everything I can think of based on my knowledge but am unable to find anything that is causing the problem. It would be great to hear some advice as to where I should be looking. I’d be most grateful to anyone who can point me in a direction I haven’t tried yet.

Did you crawl the page as googlebot? You might see some really long keyword stuffed lists show up and a high percentage of the page duplicated across the site. Google wants to see a significant amount of unique value for each page. Pages that are too similar to each other usually have a bad time. If you are going to repeat a bunch of content on multiple pages but the duplicate content towards the bottom & not at the top. Human reviewers seeing 95% identical content displayed above the fold on different urls will just flag your site.

Make sure you understand what "doorway page" means to g. It is very specific coding for a singular purpose (spamdexing) --- and they don't allow that.

Change your page to a different behavior, then resubmit your site. Do not make small changes, make it RIGHT before you resubmit. You only get one shot at that, so don't waste it.

Thank you all for prompt responses. I used Fetch as Google tool in webmasters console, but it doesn't indicate any major issues with my website.
I've already posted a similar topic on google webmasters forum but got no answer that would help me to solve my problem
I really don't see why would google consider pages on my website as doorway pages
I have already rewritten all content on the product pages, made it as useful as possible
here's my website <snip>

Mod's note: No puiblic site reviews, please.

@LindaCraig

I went and found your post on the Google forum and you were given good advice there.

A solution to consider is to aggregate all the product information that is spread across many pages into only a one or two pages. Clearly your response will be, "but all that content will not fit onto only one or two pages". That is the point, if you limit yourself to one page, you will be forced to remove anything that is not essential and anything that is repeated. As a result of that exercise you will have one high quality page were the user will find everything the he or she needs. There is no benefit, SEO or otherwise, in having hundreds or thousands of pages.

Obviously if you have distinctly different products, then each distinct product can have its own page. But creating many pages with multiple pointless variations on the same product is asking for trouble, as you now know thank to the manual action.
