Meta tags dropped my SERP and traffic

My SERP and Traffic dropped after i updated new meta tags for my site...please help.

Google ignores most meta tags. It is unlikely the reason for your drop. I suspect a bigger reason for your drop is that you are focusing on meta tags instead of the more important Google ranking factors like content, links and many other things that are much more valuable than meta tags.

I suggest you spend time reading the older threads here to learn more about what Google likes, dislikes and prioritizes.

If it truly is the meta tags, delete them then allow at least six weeks to see if traffic returns. Like goodroi, I suspect this is not the problem as g has discounted (or ignored) meta tags for quite some time.
