However, if you like a DMOZ description in Google, then it's worthwhile.
I'd rather that Google stopped using the DMOZ description and used the more up to date and relevant ones in my own pages.

It's strange how Google never re-writes DMOZ descriptions but when you use your own it's fair game for them to re-write at will. I never liked this at all. It's our content, and we should have some control in how Google displays it in their search results. If they don't like the way we write it, fine then don't rank the page. But don't re-write the description and send a ton of junk traffic because of it.
