I've just taken a site from http to https (all pages, full site).
The site previously had http://www.example.com listed as a property in Search Console.
After the switch I created a property for https://www.example.com
(www.example.com is set as the preferred form. I linked the property to my GA account.)
(Autogenerated) Email from Google states:
>>Add all your website versions (to Search Console).
Make sure you add separate Search Console properties for all URL variations that your site supports, including https, http, www, and non-www.<<
So I need to have 4 URL's as properties for this domain?
https://www.example.com
https://example.com
http://www.example.com
http://example.com
It says "for all URL variations that your site supports."
I only "support" the other three URL forms in the sense that I redirect them to https://www.example.com
