Google Search Console Generating Many New Errors

We have't made an update to our site the past 3 months; however, Google Search Console his displaying many new crawl errors it hadn't before.
Late August, URLS with ending
> "www.domain.com/folder1/....%3C/span%3E%3C/div%3E%3C/td%3E%3C/tr%3E%3C/table%3E%3C/div%3E%3Cdiv%20class="
> "www.domain.com/...%3C/span"
having been appearing as 404s in the Crawl Error report. The HTML is validated

Anyone experiencing the similar issue?

Not exactly the same thing, but there seem to have been a couple of threads about GSC errors lately.

I would click those peculiar URLs in GSC to see where Google claims they are "Linked from". If it is some 3rd party scraper you can mark it fixed and move on but if they are claiming to be finding such URLs on your site I would make sure nothing has been changed such as server settings or mime types. The examples translate to html tags only, with nothing between the <td></td> as if they can't see any text.

We have over 2 millions pages indexed; we consistently had less than 1000 errors in GWT; but recently, it spiked to >7000 errors, many errors resembling the above scenario.
