Hello All,

I searched for a movie review in Google and clicked the 3rd prominent result from the News block which led me to the review on YouTube. I've never seen a YouTube video result appearing in the News block for a specific keyword search before. Even if that's the case, I've never seen a YouTube video result appearing with the domain name of the authority site (Ex: AXYReviews.com) instead of the YouTube video URL.

Have you come across such results in Google search before? Not really sure but I found it strange.

I know Google has been working on this for professional sports. Not surprised this is also happening for movies. As much as it would be nice for things to be kept simple & old fashion, we need to keep evolving with the changing landscape or risk becoming obsolete.

Thanks :-)

I thought the news block is actually for news where it's obvious for the top authoritative news websites or any other news articles which are relevant to my search query with recent time stamp (mostly). How exactly a move review on YouTube helps me? I would have moved to the Video tab if I wanted to see video results. Anyway, It's good to hear that I'm not the only one to notice this and feel a bit off.

Keep in mind that youtube heavily favors some accounts in all results. They have a select group of "personalities" which they give prime attention to. You can see this when you look at the trending page, trending stuff comes from the same accounts frequently. If they favor a few specific news sources on youtube I wouldn't be surprised to see them benefiting in the same way.

Youtube does not seem to suffer the same ranking process of Google search, it's much more biased.
