Each result in a separate box - intermittent new serps display

I see G serving results as each in a separate box (div with different background color). It makes ads look even more as organic results. It happens intermittently. I guess it is in connection with the new (longer) ad format.

Does it really matter what the ads look like if organic is hidden below the fold? Many popular serps have the organic results buried beneath the page fold with below ads, then local map, then videos or whatever else.

Hi smallcompany, yes, in the past months we saw sometimes this new serp layout.
