Google referral jump on July 10 2016 - anyone else?

Did anyone else's Google traffic change drastically on 7/10/16? Mine jumped ~66% and has stayed up so far.

Is the jump in traffic still holding? Have you done any analysis to see whether there are certain pages or a certain section of the website that have this huge traffic jump?

Not on that date per say, however Since 13th I saw more than 200 daily average visits from Viber (never before seen as a metric) and some from what I can tell messengers operating on the Asian market.

Can't tell whether these are zombies, or suddenly Google is getting data from them, but it started with 20 visits and then gradually increased to over 500 yesterday?

What the actual hell is this?

I don't understand this. Can you show the server log entry for one of these visits?

Can't. Asked for them but its such a slog to get past the clients system admins and their lazyness its a nightmare. Can show a link from GA if you want though.

Well it must be hard to analyze traffic if you can't see the server logs.

Anyway I was thinking that this thread is about a jump in referals from google, so that's why I said that I don't understand you statement and how Viber fits into the discussion.

I may have misinterpreted the topic though..thinking about GA refferals and not Google themselves.
