As the topic goes. What are your thoughts about international links pointing to a ccTLD? Like .com or .org international domains linking to your .fr or .co.uk country based website? Are they relevant? Are they worth pursuing? Anyone here has some deeper domain knowledge about this?

Thank you for your answers in advance.

I view links from any authoritative site, regardless of tld to have value, and those that are from a similar or related content to have even greater value. As to pursuing them ... that is something I rarely do. Rather have the natural link!

Thing is I am currently working on a very interesting project where we aim to establish the company blog as the go-to-place for topic of their financial service. We have the budget, but I am doing a research on whether I can make international engagement and not just within the country the business operates. Just wanted some opinions and feedback on other folks here who have done similar things in the past, so that I know what weight to give in my KPI excel sheet.
