Hi,

I have been fighting with a problem during several months and is that I am receiving daily about 50,000-100,000 direct visits to home, this visits come withouth referer, all from computer, differents ips and hosts company Adsl and with resolutions like 360x340, 360x592. This visits aré real because I had to hire a cdn because the server load went to 50.

Can this affect to my positions in Google? Right now the server can with all visits but I don't know what to do.

Er ... where is the spam or DOS in the above? Looks like you are getting a lot of mobile traffic... Is your home content images/video/audio and in a highly popular niche? Are other pages affected?

You could go old school and deny all no referrer hits if all the rest has referrals that work. Get rid of the 50k-100k garbage.

As to position, doubtful it will make a difference.

All visits are from computer and to HomePage, if I block all visits withouth referer would affect to good visits.

If you can identify the difference between "computer" and "human" then deny the computer stuff you don't want. If your landing page that is targeted by these undesired hits is loaded with large content files (image, video, audio) then move some of that content elsewhere on SITE (another page). This will remove some of the bandwidth problems.

From a different perspective, if your host couldn't handle that extra 100k daily visits, forcing you to add a cdn, you might want to get a different host as that is a sign there's no future growth left on that system.
