nowadays, we changed our website from one server to another, but 10 hours later, the entry number of google bot crawler decrease about 50%. we check our web page that there are not any errors.
Does the modification of websiite IP change the google bot behaviors?

Although it usually happen much faster, it can take as long as 72 hours for the DNS info to propagate around to all the networks.

thanks keyplyr.
this happened 3 times for me this year. we want to accelerate our website speed, every time, we changed our network to akamai, then 6 hours later, googlebot crawler pv dropped to only 10% of before. And we switched network back, googlebot crawler pv increased back as usual after 2 hours.

Changing IP will always cause a start/stop issue. As keyply notes it might take a few days to propagate. More than anything, any change can result in a "review" by search engines (all of them) to see if this is new, or an existing site on a different IP.

Given the number of NEW sites appearing on the web every day it's not surprising crawlers will do "sample and check" before running full bore.
