Influencing usage on Google's search box leads to updated autocomplete suggestions. Google tends to personalize these autocomplete suggestions so you need to influence usage on a wide scale. This can be done with a creative social campaign but most people that try this underestimate the scale and fail. Even if you are initially successful, if you don't change consumer habits the autocomplete will revert to the unmanipulated version once consumers revert to their old ways.
