Google's John Mueller has just updated a post about recommendations for JavaScript sites and Progressive Web Apps in Google Search.

There are nine recommendations which are worth a read as a reminder for all, although, much of it will be known.

Here's an example
Avoid the AJAX-Crawling scheme on new sites. Consider migrating old sites that use this scheme soon. Remember to remove "meta fragment" tags when migrating. Don't use a "meta fragment" tag if the "escaped fragment" URL doesn't serve fully rendered content.

This is bad. Using hashtags for user experience purposes is used by plethora of websites, small and big. I get the "make the web faster" but these recommendations will make some frontenders very unhappy.

What some see as innovation others see as degradation. Find that happy spot between the two. (Me? Less JS the better on my sites, and where I can I use perl instead, others use php)
