Google indexed pages drop and grow

My page have total 120 000 pages indexed on google and now problem is because e.g. 2 day show 120 000 and then next 2 day show 30 000, how i can make without this big drop ? I read about that but can't found nothing clear, this is called ''google dance'' ? Will be good if some expert can tell me more about this ?

Did you check to make sure you have 301s set up properly (i.e. www.abc.com and abc.com should go to one url, not two)?

Log into webmaster tools if you haven't already to see what details might be found in there. GWT may have sent a message to your account indicating if they notice an issue.
