Hello all,

I have got penalized by penguin update, Then while watching the backlinks in webmaster tools, I have seen that I am getting over 600 links just from one site and they are keep increasing. Yesterday they were 600 links and now the number rises to over 1300 backlinks from a single domain. They had linked my website in there footer and also it is a do follow link. I emailed them to remove my content and link and they did so but I do not know how can I get rid of all those 1300 links that are pointing to a single site of mine. I have also submit there website in diavow tool. Help me if somebody have the solution.

Technically, most multi-link referrals is real just a single link on an include file. From the vantagepoint of manipulation that is still just ONE link even if that ONE link is included on a billion pages.

Additionally, the fact that you see more links showing up all the time is commonly due to Googlebot not likely crawling every single page at the same time rather than the website owner (the link creator) adding uniquely different links every few days.

For what it's worth, we have thousands of unsolicited links from junk sites, we've never disavowed a link, and we do just fine in Google.

The Web is awash in worthless links, and if Google penalized every site that was the unwitting recipient of such links, the SERPs would be empty.

We have tons of those, mostly scraped content posted on completely unrelated sites and often impossible to find when browsing through those sites. I find it disturbing, personally. However the powers that be within this organization have seen this for years. I disavowed the most egregious (170,000 links from 2 sites), but no one here seemed to bat an eye.

My opinion is that it will come to bite us in the rear end one day if we don't manage it, so I do my best to keep an eye out.

Yup, I don't think a single footer link, even if on a thousand pages, would get you penalized. It must be something else.

It is baffling to me how paid links and spam are filtered out and these most egregious signs of bad linking are ignored.

You have your facts a little skewed.

You disavowed stuff that had no value to induce ranks. Without the ranking impact there is nothing egregious beyond just having an uninformed opinion. Your suggested belief is that all links start out being unnatural when in fact they are all natural until PENGUIN (or Google's Webspam Team) determine there is a pattern to manipulate.
