Google is now crawling some of Facebook's app and indexing public profiles and some public events and pages. This is the result of an agreement between the two companies, which, in the past, had kept themselves to themselves.

As to ranking, it's probably too early to tell, but it brings a whole new angle to the opportunities.

The agreement means that results from Google searches on smartphones will display some content from Facebook’s app, including public profile information. The listings will appear as “deep links” that will take users to the relevant part of the Facebook app, the spokeswoman said. Google Mobile App Search Shows Some Facebook Content [blogs.wsj.com]
