Today I have received verification post card from Google and I have verified my Google Business listing but it's not showing on search results like when you search for some business results from map show. What is wrong how long does it take or maybe I need to take extra steps?

I can find it on Google maps but not from Google search!

surenot.. I assume you're asking about a search for something like

[businessname cityname]

There's no automatic connection between getting a Google Business listing and getting your site to rank in organic results. In part, the Business listing is a gift to local businesses who often aren't up to the challenges of ranking in competitive search... and Google wants to make sure its users have some way to find local businesses.

Under normal circumstances, though, with this type of search from the Google web search box, I'd expect to see... on the Google web results page... a Google business listing in the upper right area of the page, and an organic listing for your business at the top of the left-hand web results column. If this isn't what you're asking about, please clarify.

In any event, information about your site and your query would be helpful....

- How long has your site been up?
- Does it have any good quality inbound links?
- How long as it had these links?
- Can the site be spidered?
- Is the business name unique in your particular city?
- Does all the necessary information appear on your home page in html text?
- What kind of platform is the site built on?

Try searching for [site:example.com] ...as well as for a quoted text string from your home page... to see if the site's in the index.

Yes that is exactly what I want when someone searches for my site on the right upper side shows Google map result with my business address! I have it set up on Google Business and verified only today maybe it takes more time!

The website is a good standing one <snipped sitename> but I only today verified business listing!

You might want to give it 72 hours (three days). The web does not work instantly. :)

Tangor's correct that the web doesn't work instantly, but I'm guessing that's not the issue.

Google map result with my business address

Does your location and business address appear on your site's home page, or your contact page, etc?. If you want to rank organically for a local search that includes your cityname, then that address information needs to appear prominently on your site. Schema markup on your site for your address can also help.

Google doesn't check what's in your Business listing and add that to what they find on your site to determine organic rankings.

Maybe I'm not clear what you're searching for, though. Please give an exemplified query... no actual search terms, brand names, etc allowed per our forum Charter [webmasterworld.com...]

Have you used Google My Business? [google.com...]

When you sign in there with your Google account it puts all of the various listings Google may have for you in one place (ie, your personal Google+ page, business pages, YouTube.

See if anything is already set up there in your business name, and if there is, use the edit tool to make sure it lists the right name and address and phone for the business. If there are multiple listings make sure they all have the same address. If you don't have any listings there, set one up.
