Hey guys!

If you have a site selling themes, you will notice that there are demo pages for users... what would be the solution of demo pages in term of SEO? A no-index tag or a canonical tag as it contains dummy content to go with..

Pages with demo content: No index or canonical?

Yes, definitely.
-- LOL But, that's the best I can come up with, because I think either should be equally fine.

noindex can exist in isolation. canonical only has meaning if it points to something. Pointing to what, in this case?

Why not make the demo pages full of content about the theme, what sort of people should use it and why it's a great theme? Imagine you're talking someone through the page layout and the options you have for content.
