Root domain not showing up in SERP for branded term

When I type in our branded term [example] I get many results but i don;t get our root domain as a result on page 1 (example.com)

Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Make sure you aren't seeing looking at personalized serps.
Then double check you aren't blocking googlebot with robots.txt or htaccess.
Then make sure your brand actually appears in text on your root domain.
Make sure your domain isn't new and that you have developed backlinks that generate traffic to your site.
