local SEOs are buzzing big time right now. It seems like over the past few days, Google has done a major algorithmic change that has shifted how the local results rank in both Google Maps and the local packs in web search. [seroundtable.com...] .

Additional to these reports I'm seeing the replacement of the 6/8 pack in the restaurant and accommodation/s category ( e.g. New York ) with the new inclusion of Google's own asset's formatted neatly, comprising images and reviews [ by Zagat ] and a prominent "See More" button in the middle of the page.

What are you seeing in categories you watch and how is it effecting your rankings ?

Ha! I think they were testing an algorithm. Noticed the same changes on our end, though I think it's nothing major, unless if you're a local business, that is.
