Autocomplete on mobile is very helpful, so it's obvious that Webmasters should address this for their mobile users.

Now, Chrome fully supports the "autocomplete" attribute for form fields according to the current WHATWG HTML Standard. This allows webmasters and web developers to label input element fields with common data types, such as ‘name’ or ‘street-address’, without changing the user interface or the backend. Numerous webmasters have increased the rate of form completions on their sites by marking up their forms for auto-completion. Too bad many webmasters don't even realize why this is important and helpful to them.

If you are using Gravity Forms for WordPress, it's very doable and I recommend it.

Thank you for posting this. It will surely be part of the mobile update, expecially where it tells the device to open a number pad, phone pad or keyboard.
