I'd like my employees to be able to find out which of two keywords has more search volume on Google without logging into an AdWords account. Is this possible?

Unfortunately, Google discontinued its external keywords tool in 2013. There are some 3rd party tools that will give you an idea about Google search volume. Check this WebmasterWorld thread: [webmasterworld.com...]
If you're worried about employees having access to sensitive financial data, why not create a dummy account for them. That way they can use the internal keyword research tool.

Thanks, I think we'll go with the dummy account after all.

Actually Google is requiring that I enter my financial info in order to gain access to the account. Is there a way around that?

You can try to enter the card with the shortest expiry date. I have an expired card attached to one of my old accounts which is for the domain I am using for testing and not running Adwords for.
I kept being reminded to update my card info, but I never did.
Not sure what would happen if you enter the card data, activate the account and then remove/cancel the card out of the account.

You can create different levels of user access. If that does not work, create a dummy account like others have noted. If you don't want to put in your credit card info, get a Visa gift card for a low dollar amount and create the dummy account.

Thanks, I'm ordering a $10 gift card from giftcards.com and I'll let you guys know if it works.
You need to click on that highlighted link above ^
IF you have however clicked continue then you will never be able to go back to see that 'Skip the guided setup.' link again and will have to sign up again using a different AdWords account.
